Preparation for the Photoshoot

Two days before the photo shoot, we all met up with the models and put together 4 different outfits. We roughly planned out the hair and make up when the outfits were modelled and put together.

Our first look was an elegant light blue dress that had a beautiful lace detailed front, cowl draping back and detailed side slit sleeves. We however, decided to wear the dress back to front because the draping looked better at the front along with a beaded necklace for added elegance.

The next look comprised of a nude-ish tutu-like-skirt, paired with a tartan blazer which relates to the royal/Queen theme. Our model will also be wearing knee high boots to complete this look because the Queen likes to wear garments and accessories suited for the countryside.

Outfit number 3 consisted of a bluey-grey shirt worn with a sequinned skirt; we liked the look but felt that something was missing from it so we played around with the outfit, pairing it with different accessories but nothing seemed to work.

Until we paired the outfit with this burgundy, gold metallic jumper. We popped it over the shirt and tucked the collar and sleeves out. This outfit is slightly quirky and different, which we all liked and we decided to use it in our shoot.

The last outfit we put together was a simple white shift dress, which we all felt suited to our 'appropriated' image theme. Different blazers and jackets were paired with this dress till we felt happy with the look. In the end we decided to go with a different jacket than the one below. Our chosen jacket is a red velour/velvet blazer. The two colours contrasted well together.

After a play round with the clothes, we were all happy with the final selection of outfits for the shoot on thursday. We also made sure people knew what to bring for the shoot i.e hair and make up items, fabric, props etc. As well as tear outs for poses and lighting.

On the day of the shoot, we will have two models, one female and one male who will wear just a suit because we want to mainly focus on the image of the 'Queen'
