Background ideas

Using photoshop i played around with different backgrounds to see different effects i could create.

Here i used a picture of Buckingham palace to create a regal effect and changed the contrast and brightness to make it stand out.

I decided to make our model black and white in this picture to symbolize her not fitting in with the of the royal persona.

After seeing the final images from the shoot, i decided to to experiment with different editing techniques on photoshop to see the different effects we could create, and also find new ways to present our final images.

Sex Pistols Influence

As we have now got a lot of research on the band i felt it would beneficial for our project if we looked into a few Sex Pistols images a little further to see what inspiration we could take from them. They were

certainly one of the most controversial bands there has ever been and also probably one of the most influential. They burst onto the music scene in 1975 in London and completely changed the face of music in Britain. Their loud, aggressive, and anti-establishment stance inspired a whole host of new bands and established punk as a new rock music genre and culture in Britain.

There outrageous style, rebellious attitude and complete disregard of any authority captivated the youth of London, if we took inspiration from the sex pistols attitude we could take more risks step outside the box and create a unique and daring final piece.

The bright use of colour, rough sketchy text, collage effect photos and messy paint splodges create a very eye catching image everything about it just screams punk, we could think about adding some of these effects in on our final images.

There complete disrespect for the monarchy is very beneficial to our project as we are essentially defacing money for our final piece.
